A lot of our wineries and breweries cater to kids with playgrounds, children’s menus, and big open spaces so you can make the most of a lazy afternoon sipping on some of the best beverages Australia has to offer. Here’s our list of must-visit cellar doors for your next family holiday in the Great Southern!

Willoughby Park Wines & Boston Brewery

Willoughby Park Wines & Boston Brewery are located together and serve up some incredible craft brews and fine wines. This is an ideal place to visit with kids as they have a massive playground and bounce pad alongside the vines that will keep the kids occupied while you enjoy a pint or a glass of wine. The restaurant has a great menu for adults and kids including favourites like pizzas and fish and chips. The space often has live music creating a fun atmosphere for everyone.

Plantagenet Wines

Your kids will love Plantagenet Wines as much as you do! This winery has a whole area designed for kids and a special menu to satisfy even the pickiest eaters! This is a great place for the whole family to relax for the afternoon.

Wignalls Wines

The laid-back vibe at Wignalls Wines is perfectly suited for parents and kids alike. Take yourself on a winery tour while the kids entertain themselves in the playground. The winery offers tastings of their incredible, award winning wines.

Gilbert Wines & Cafe

Gilbert Wines may not have a playground, but we know the kids will absolutely love exploring the grounds of this adorable winery. Parents can enjoy a wine flight to taste the different varietals the winery offers while the kids can munch on a menu catered specifically to them – not to mention a yummy dessert menu for those craving something sweet!

Rockcliffe

Rockliffe Wines has a vast open space that is perfect for the kids to run around and play a game of tag. The winery really shines during the summer months. They are known for their lazy Summer afternoons on the lawn, chillin’ musical vibes and award-winning wines. O! The winery also sells freshly made gelato all year long – including some made with their own wine!

West Cape Howe

West Cape Howe has loads of space for the kids to run around and have a ball while you taste some of the best wines the Great Southern has to offer. They are also pet friendly so feel free to bring your pup! If you are hungry, you are in luck! They also serve pizzas and platters.

The Lake House

Your kids will love all the space to run around at The Lake House! Bring a picnic rug to spread out on and enjoy the day sipping on wines on the lawn as the kids enjoy a game of chase. It is also pet friendly and, as per its name, there is also a beautiful lake on the property that makes a great adventure for the kiddos! There is a restaurant with terrific views of the lake with a special kids menu and an extensive dessert menu. If you would like something on the go, try one of their take-away picnic hampers. Sit back and relax, eating delicious food and a glass of wine.
